Samhain

Oct 11
1 min read

It seems that a few apologies are in order.

Firstly, we are in the process of (hopefully)  improving the way that Dode communicates with people digitally and we’ve had a few teething problems - you’ve probably not noticed, but I have - sorry!

Another problem is an inability to recognise different types of birds  - sorry Jack!

But, what this post is really about is that I’m truly sorry that so many of our followers have missed out on tickets for the Samhain Celebration.

The tiny size of the church is both its strength and its weakness, and although we wouldn’t change it, it can only comfortably seat 45 people and the car park accommodate some 20 cars.

We can’t make the church any bigger so the seats for the Wicker Man film itself are sold out, but, as at Christmas, I’m going to see if our kindly neighbours would be prepared to make some parking available in their driveways so that a few more of you will be able to attend the finale later in the evening - the spectacular burning of our own Wicker Man imaginatively constructed by Jack Skylark ll of Axework Arts.

So if you want to be placed on the waiting list for any returned tickets or you would like to come along for the latter part of the evening (at reduced cost) please email me at doug@dodevilllage.com and I’ll see what I can do.

Blessed Be - Doug.
