The Lost Village of Dode Celebrates Samhain

Samhain

I really hate hackneyed phrases designed to make you do or purchase something! You’ve all seen and heard them: “Back by popular demand” - “Book now to avoid disappointment” - “Tickets are limited” -  “Bigger and better”.

I’m sorry, rambling again, I’m meant to tell you about Dode’s Samhain Celebration, so here goes.

It’s on Thursday the 5th of November at 7pm commencing with a thunderous welcome from the Dode Drummers, followed, as last year with a showing of the cult 1970’s film The Wicker Man in the church.

This will be followed (obviously in the grounds) by a ‘privileged viewing’ of the second of Jack Swallows wonderful Wicker Men creations and a torchlight procession led by Wolfshead and Vixen Morris.

Hopefully, they won’t, as last year, accidentally bump into each other, but if they do, as the saying goes;  c’est la vie.

Please check here and our social media posts for any updates on this event.

I hope to see you.

Bright Blessings - Doug.
