Anna - Guardian of the Gathering

At the edge of field and flint, where the path bends gently toward the ancient church, stands Anna, known among the villagers as the Guardian of the Gathering
It is she who opens the door to Dode at open days and other public events.
With care and a knowing presence, Anna prepares the space before each gathering: unlatching old wood, letting in the light, and ensuring that every arrival is met with warmth. To those who come seeking stillness, celebration, or simple curiosity, she is the first face they meet and the one who eases them gently across the threshold.

There is a rhythm to her work that mirrors the village itself. Keys turn, footsteps soften, voices settle. Under her watch, strangers become guests, and guests, for a while at least, become part of the story.
It is said that Anna carries the spirit of welcome in all things she touches—that she knows just when to speak and when silence is the greater gift. And though many pass through the doors of Dode, it is her unseen care that makes each visit feel as though the place has been waiting, just for them.
And once welcomed in, few ever feel like strangers again.
