22nd February 2020

When you’re planning your wedding there are so many things you need to think of, so much to remember & being organised is a vital part of planning any wedding and we are lucky enough nowadays to have some incredible apps that help you make the whole process easier. Whilst we still love a good old-fashioned notebook & Pritt Stick there is no denying how apps help make lots of tasks easier, so here is a few of our favourites, that you may or may not have heard of before, we hope you find them useful…

Pinterest

Whilst we are sure you have all heard of Pinterest, we couldn’t not mention the ‘inspiration app’ of the decade. Pinterest is a #bridetobe’s go to wedding app. Here you will be able to seek inspiration for every element of your wedding day & create boards for them, actually not just the big day itself, you’ll also find it super helpful when thinking about hen or stag dos, honeymoons, the list is endless…although, be warned, prepare to spend hours scrolling through tonnes of images, but it’ll all be worth it as your perfect mood boards will be super helpful when chatting with suppliers & will ensure your vision comes to life on your big day!

Bridebook

This is an all-round wedding planning app that has everything covered. It will help you manage your budget, organise your guestlist, it’ll even let you search for local suppliers. You’ll also find its great at just reminding you of the things you might not have thought about & keeping you on track with its handy checklist (personalised to you of course) & even better its free, so a must have for any bride & groom to be.

Pantone Studio

Most brides & grooms (mainly the brides if we are being honest, the grooms tend to not be overly fussed) have a colour scheme in mind from the get go, but often they will find that it is hard to ensure that everything is right & works well together. With this app you can build a colour palette & workout which colours go well together & you can even take photos of things to see if they work with your colour scheme. You’ll also know the exact shades your wanting, so can use these as reference with suppliers, particularly important when you might be working remotely with someone, such as a printer & want to ensure you get exactly the right colour.

Top Table Planner

Anyone who has planned a wedding understands how stressful it can be doing the table plan, it normally gets put off until the last possible opportunity because it’s a renowned fact that it’s not one of the most enjoyable wedding planning tasks to do, but if you’re at that stage then Top Table Planner can help. It allows you to add tables, manage your guest list and keep revising your seating plan until you’re happy with who’s sitting where & trust us it can take a few attempts before you get it right. Once you are all finished you can easily print it out & also send a PDF to your venue or suppliers, so that they have all the info they need.

Joy

This is another free, all-rounder wedding planning app that helps you to manage all aspects of your wedding. From planning your wedding schedule to sending the invitations, Joy has it covered, but it also has a lovely ‘social’ side of it, almost like your wedding’s own, private Facebook. Guests can create profiles, they can connect prior to the wedding & it’s not all over once the big day is, because guest can share photos on your virtual wedding album, keeping the memories of your big day alive for years to come.

Wedshoots

If you just need a platform to share photos of your big day on then Wedshoots is for you & it’s totally free. You & your guests can share photos to the app to ensure that no memory is missed. They have a range of fun filters & if you fancy (as its real time) you could even set up a projector on the big day to live stream the photos that everyone takes. All photos can be downloaded afterwards & kept forever.

Wedding Wire

This app is a database of venues and vendors, with more than 200,000 local listings and 2.5 million real reviews from couples. So, if you’re not sure where to start when it comes to venues or suppliers this is the place to start. You can search by type, location, price, & rating.

Carats & Cake

Carats & Cake is your own wedding private detective. Have you ever seen something on a blog post and thought who made that or where can I buy that, but not had a clue how to find out. Well look no further, Carat & Cake provides all the info on all of the real weddings it shares, so eliminates the guesswork & means you don’t need to do lots of searching.

My Wedding Songs

You want to have the perfect songs for your wedding, but sometimes it’s hard to think of them, you might not remember who sung it or what the name of that awesome tune you danced to years ago was. The Wedding Songs app has done all of the hard work for you, they have curated song lists for every aspect of your wedding, from romantic songs, first dance songs, fill the dance floor songs to ceremony songs, they’ve got you covered!
